” Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Rahi Kallaf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Biotechnology, Professor Muhammad Abdul-Wahab Al-Askari, the College of Biotechnology held its first annual festival titled “Sustainable Development and Green Education.” The festival was attended by the Dean of the College of Biotechnology, Professor Muhammad Abdul-Wahab Al-Askari, his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, faculty members, and students. The festival’s activities included a scientific event, including seminars on the topic of sustainable development and green education, sponsored by the College of Biotechnology. The event discussed the climate change that threatens the world and presented solutions for renewable energy. The aim of this festival is to discuss and collect solutions, projects, supportive policies and scientific research to implement sustainable development goals. The festival’s activities also included a symposium on addressing unemployment, reducing poverty and population growth, creating job opportunities and providing adequate housing.
