As part of the activities of the Sustainable Development Week, the College of Biotechnology held a symposium entitled Reducing Inequalities, and lecturers were Prof. Dr. Wafa Abdel Wahed and Assistant lecturer . Hussein Hamed Abd and Assistant lecturer Heba Adnan Aziz. The lecturers at the symposium discussed several topics, including inequality, which threatens social and economic development in the long term, undermines poverty reduction, and destroys people’s sense of accomplishment and self-esteem. This would generate crime, disease, and environmental degradation if we cannot achieve development. Which indicates the urgent need to take measures to address any type of discriminatory practices and hate speech, in addition to reducing the phenomenon of inequality, activating resources, investing in education and skills development, implementing social protection measures, combating discrimination, supporting marginalized groups, and strengthening international cooperation for fair trade and financial systems. Sustainable and make our planet a better place for everyone.
